Lukáš Onderčanin (SK)

Lukáš Onderčanin is a journalist and writer. In 2021, he published his debut book, a documentary historical novel titled Utopia in Lenin’s Garden with the Absynt publishing house. Among the settlers who left Czechoslovakia for a dream of a better and more just life in Kyrgyzstan was a four-year-old Alexander Dubček with his parents. The book received the Readers’ Award in the Anasoft Litera 2022 literary competition.

Lukáš works for the SME daily newspaper, and is the editor-in-chief of the magazine Príbehy 20. storočia. As part of the off-program at JAMA 77, he will participate in a discussion at the municipal library in Banská Belá on the occasion of donating a selection of books from the Absynt publishing house to the library’s catalog.
