Martin Burlas is a Slovak musician and composer. He studied composition with Ján Cikker at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. In 1986, he founded the bands Maťkovia and Sleepy Motion. He also played in the contemporary music ensembles VENI and VAPORI del CUORE. His interest in various areas of contemporary music is evident throughout his work. He wrote two operas, several symphonic compositions and many chamber works. He lives in Bratislava.
